Description
Molecular Sieve CaX is the calcium-exchanged variant of type X zeolite, featuring a significantly larger pore size compared to type A crystals. Calcium X (CaX) and Calcium LSX (CaLSX) are derived from 13X and LSX zeolites through ion exchange with calcium ions. These materials selectively adsorb molecules with kinetic diameters under 0.9 nanometers (9 Å), while excluding larger ones. Due to this property, CaX is widely applied in cryogenic air separation units (PPU) for N₂O removal. In industrial oxygen production, both CaX and CaLSX are employed in VPSA (Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption) oxygen plants for direct oxygen enrichment.
