Small-sized sterile filters are commonly designed with a cross-hanging configuration featuring horizontal inlet and outlet ports. For multi-element assemblies, a floor-standing unit design is available.

Depending on application needs, the filtration system can be configured as a combination of pre-filters and fine filters.

Airflow must enter from outside to inside through the filter element, following the arrow direction marked on the housing label.

Compressed air supplied to the sterile filter requires mandatory passage through at least three stages of precision filtration and a dryer. This process must remove oil, water, and dust contaminants, with oil mist concentration maintained below 0.01 ppm. Failure to meet these conditions will compromise both filter longevity and sterilization efficacy.

Regular sterilization is essential—typically performed once or twice weekly or monthly based on usage frequency. Each sterilization cycle lasts 30 minutes and employs clean saturated steam with 1 μm filtration accuracy. Steam temperature must remain under 140°C, and pressure should be kept below 0.3 MPa. Valves require slow, deliberate operation, and the process needs dedicated monitoring.

The sterile filter element must be replaced after completing 50 steam sterilization cycles or when the differential pressure reaches 0.07–1.0 MPa.

Custom orders are accepted for sterile filters requiring higher flow rates and operating pressures.
